The Most Important Part of Lily Collins' New Book Is in The Resources Section
Lily Collins‘ new book, “Unfiltered”, is finally out and it only took the JJJ Book Club two hours to read it all.
The Last Tycoon star opens up about her mom Jill‘s support, forgiving her father Phil, her loves, likes and quirks, emotional abuse, and more.
One of the big issues Lily does talk about in her book is of her eating disorders and addictions. While many of us thought, it was just anorexia and bulimia Lily suffered from in the past, we were very wrong.
“My diet pill and laxative addiction also started when I was around 16 and continued into my early 20s,” Lily confesses.
“I knew my mom would never be okay with them, so I started secretly buying them at drugstores and hiding them all over my room.”

She opened up about her fears too: “I was terrified I had ruined my chances of having kids. I was convinced that I had f***** up myself up beyond repair.” (Don’t worry, she can.)
Her journey is an inspiring one, and something everyone should read. Lily goes into all the details of her disorder: how it happened, why it happened and how she’s still in recovery.
At the end of her book, Lily writes a ton of acknowledgements, but it’s the resource section that truly caught JJJ‘s eyes.
“Remember, asking for help and seeking support is never a sign of weakness. It takes strength and bravery. Whatever it is you’re struggling with, you don’t have to go through it alone,” she writes, before listing a few places you can go to for any kind of help you need.
There are eating disorder, bullying, dating abuse and mental health sources that will help you out.
