Normani Kordei Reveals Why She Said Yes To Competing on 'Dancing With The Stars'

When JJJ heard the rumors about a Fifth Harmony member joining the new season of Dancing With The Stars, we didn’t actually believe it.

But now with Normani Kordei signed up, we couldn’t be more excited about seeing her dance every week with Val Chmerkovskiy.

So, why exactly did she join?

“I wanted to be on Dancing With The Stars, because this is a show that I’ve actually grown up watching,” she says. “Especially with my grandmother; I remember, she would have her little logbook � I have to tell this story to everybody. She would keep track of everybody’s scores and who got passed onto the next week or who got eliminated.”

She added, “It’s just been a dream of hers to see me on the show, so it means a lot to me but it also means the world to her.”

Dancing With The Stars premieres on Monday, March 20th @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
