Zendaya's Advice on How to Make it In Hollywood

One thing that celebs always get asked is about how to make it as an actress or singer in Hollywood — and Zendaya just answered everything!

The Spider-Man: Homecoming actress recently opened up on her app and revealed some amazing tips for surviving in Hollywood, so if you’re an aspiring starlet, listen up.

For those of you who aren’t planning on getting your own Walk of Fame star anytime soon, her tips are actually pretty applicable for everyday life as well.

“I don’t know everything…yet,” Zendaya explains, “but here are pieces of advice for making it in the biz.”

Queen Z cites doing your homework as one tip. “People are always going to try to undersell you,” she explains. For example, she says, you should always negotiate for the appropriate amount of money, not more and not less. (This is so true in the real world true! Whenever you get a job offer, you should know how much to ask for.)

Zendaya also recommends being careful with the contracts you sign (treat it as if you’re signing “away your life”) and keeping track of your money. “They don’t always teach you basic life skills in school,” she says. “Learn the basics and be aware so you know how to budget.”

Zendaya started her app so that she could show her fans who she really is and take control of the content about her, and she’s definitely doing that.
