Dylan O'Brien's New Movie 'American Assassin' Gets Release Date

Dylan O’Brien‘s upcoming CIA thriller American Assassin has a release date, and we’re getting excited.

As we reported in late November, the 25-year-old Teen Wolf actor started filming the movie in Rome, Italy, alleviating fans’ concerns that terrible accident he had might be the end of his acting career.

(See lots of pics from the set here and here.)

American Assassin is definitely pushing Dylan into more mature roles as the series that made him famous, Teen Wolf, comes to a close this summer.

The movie is scheduled to hit theaters in the fall on September 15, 2017.

Dylan plays the lead character, Mitch Rapp, a CIA black ops recruit who carries out covert counter-terrorist operations.

Meanwhile, fans wish they could carry out their own covert opps to find out if Dylan will grace their tv screens in the series finale of Teen Wolf. All signs point to… find out here.

I Have just finished “The Survivor”, the last book written by Vince Flynn and completed by Kyle Mills. [I have read all the books]. This guy is not who I envisioned as Mitch Rapp even in his early days when recruited. It will be interesting to see the movie. I am glad it was not someone real popular though, as the story literally goes on over several decades. They will probably use more actors for Mitch Rapp I hope,
as there are some very good yarns to convert to film.
