Lauren Jauregui, Candice Patton & More Reach Out on Social Media To Help Find Missing DC Girls

If you haven’t been on social media for the past few days, or even if you have, you might not know that a handful of young girls of color are now missing.

There have been no Amber Alerts to tell anyone, and no major outlet had picked up the story before a few days ago and now celebs like Candice Patton, Lauren Jauregui, Rowan Blanchard and more are hoping to find them all.

“Stay vigilant, watch out for each other, say lots of prayers for these women and their families,” Lauren writes on her Instagram. “No humans should be missing and we really need to fix how normalized the conversation about missing children has become.”

She adds, “We have to stop being ok with the answer being that it is potentially due to human trafficking (which happens to be a billion dollar industry in the United States) we need to start asking the right questions and getting the proper answers. We need to stop telling girls to be careful and stay home so they are not abducted and if they are that they are not important enough to be reported about.”
