Selena Gomez knows the Instagram struggle is real, which is shy she is speaking out to young girls, and we love her so much for it.

Even though she is the most followed person in the world on Instagram, she admits she still deletes the app almost daily because of negative comments.

Last week, we reported the 24-year-old singer surprised teen girls at two Los Angeles high schools.

One of the biggest messages Selena wants to spread is that social media doesn’t define you.

“I hope they know they are worth more than an Instagram like and worth more than a comment on any other social platform,” Selena explained to the Today show, which followed her on the visits.

Having someone like Selena, whose life is seemingly perfect from the outside, confess she is hit just as hard with feeling good about herself as we all are is so inspiring.
