Zac Efron Once Dyed His Hair Silver & Looked Like 'A Little Old Man'

When you think about beauty blunders, you think of a tragic bronzer overload, or finding out that your bright cranberry lip wasn’t just all over your lips, but your teeth too.

However, Zac Efron‘s biggest beauty mistake doesn’t involve those at all — it actually involves hair dye!

Speaking with Refinery29, the Baywatch hunk admitted that when he was in junior high school, he wanted his hair to be just like Sisqo‘s (if you know who that is).

“Do you remember the music video for ‘Thong Song’ by Sisqo, where he had his hair dyed silver?” Back in middle school, when bleaching your hair was cool and Sublime was all the rage, I went to my mom and I was like, ‘I want my hair to be silver, too!’” Zac admits.

And she let him do it! (Cool mom points)

“So we bleached it, cut it short, and they put silver in it, but it ended up looking gray,” Zac shared. “I looked like a little old man. Because I didn’t have glowing backlights and dancing hot chicks around, all I had was gray hair. [Laughs.]“
