Pixar Gives Touching Tribute to Comedian Don Rickles, Voice of Toy Story's Mr. Potato Head
This week, comedian Don Rickles passed away.
While most may not know who he is, you will once we mention Mr. Potato Head from Toy Story.
Pixar has paid tribute to Don after his passing on Thursday, with a touching post on social media from Toy Story‘s director John Lasseter.
“Don Rickles was a comic genius, and here at Pixar we were honored to also call him a friend. The wit, personality and incredible timing he brought to Mr. Potato Head lit up the character and made him an essential part of the Toy Story ensemble.”
“Even though Mr. Potato Head’s facial features fell off in every Toy Story movie, his heart never left him�that was because of Don. We will miss him tremendously.”
Mr. Potato Head may still appear in Toy Story 4, which is expected to debut in 2019.
