Camila Mendes Kind Of, Sort Of Knew Cole Sprouse Before 'Riverdale'

Fun fact that pretty much NO ONE knew? Camila Mendes knew Cole Sprouse before being cast in Riverdale!

The actress revealed in a new interview that she kind of ran in the same circle as Cole while attending NYU.

“I mean, I saw him around and there was a time when we had class in the same building so I would always see him outside,” Camila admitted, although the two weren’t actually friends. “He was a weirdo!”

She adds about what she remembers of him then: “He had really long hair down to his butt cheeks. [Laughs] He was really shy too. I would see him at parties sometimes and I always kind of randomly talked to his brother [Dylan] but I never got a chance to talk to him because he was more to himself.”

Camila is using it all to her advantage though, always getting Cole laughing about it.

“Cole always laughs when I tell him that because I remember meeting him on certain occasions and he doesn’t. I’m always like, ‘Fine! Whatever! Sorry I’m not a child star!’”
