Sabrina Carpenter is Donating Her Birthday to the Ryan Foundation

Former Girl Meets World star and “Thumbs” singer Sabrina Carpenter‘s 18th birthday is coming up May 11 — and she wants it to be about someone other than her this year.

Sabrina is asking everyone to direct all birthday presents and wishes for her toward the The Ryan Foundation, a foundation run by Ryan Seacrest that builds TV and radio studios in children’s hospitals.

“I’ve already been able to hang out with so many incredible patients because of them,” she writes on her donation page. “These kids inspire me everyday to want to work harder, follow my dreams and realize how lucky I am. I really want to do something special for my 18th bday and can’t think of a better way than helping to spread more love!”

Neither can we! We think it’s amazing she is using her birthday to raise awareness about kids who are less fortunate than she is and who are really struggling right now.
