Paris Jackson Wears Michelle Obama T-Shirt to the MTV Movie & TV Awards 2017

Paris Jackson lowkey attended the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards last night, skipping the red carpet, but she still had a big statement to make.

The 20-year-old model and actress rolled to the show in a graphic t-shirt with Michelle Obama‘s face illustrated on it alongside the words “Michelle my Belle.”

Besides being a Disney character, “belle” means “beautiful girl or woman” in French.

“Michelle ma belle, these are words that go together well,” are also the lyrics of The Beatles 1965 hit “Michelle.”

Representing the former First Lady, Paris paired the tee with ripped jeans and a plaid flannel tied around her waist.

This isn’t the first time the rock royalty (aka daughter of Michael Jackson) has used her growing celebrity platform to speak out politically.

She opened up about things, including her mental health and her thoughts on President Donald Trump‘s administration, in a Rolling Stone article in January.

More recently, Paris spoke out about the Dakota Access Pipeline at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
