Harry Styles Didn't Know What His 'Solo Sound' Actually Sounded Like Before Writing His Album

Harry Styles is just hours away from his debut solo album being out in the USA.

The “Sign of the Times” singer opened up to Nova’s Smallzy in a recent chat and dished about how he didn’t even know what his solo sound sounded like before this.

“I think in terms of the sound, it was my first album so going into the process I didn’t know what my solo album sounded like,” Harry says. “So I think during the process, there is a lot of different stuff that happened and I think the album reflects that.”


He also spoke of retreating to Jamaica to write the entire thing.

“Part of the reason why I wrote most of the album in Jamaica, [was because of the no distractions]. [It was part] of the reason why I wanted to get out of the city, was that I didn’t want any distractions or anyone else kind of influencing it,” Harry adds.
