Is 'Swish Swish' Really About Taylor Swift? Katy Perry Explains the Meaning!

Everyone is still talking about Katy Perry‘s new song “Swish Swish” and trying to figure out if the lyrics are really about Taylor Swift. Luckily for us, Katy is already opening up about the meaning of the song!

The 32-year-old singer was interview by Jimmy Fallon on Friday night (May 19), ahead of her appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend, and she was asked to explain what the song is about and if it’s targeted at anyone in particular.

“I think it’s a great anthem for people to use whenever someone’s trying to hold you down or bully you,” Katy said. “That’s kind of what this record is about, it’s just like [a] 360-degree liberation.”

Katy also said that “Swish represents the liberation from all the negative that doesn’t serve you.”
