Lucy Hale Is Trying To Be Authentic As She Possibly Can on Social Media
With Lucy Hale, it will always be a ‘what you see is what you get’ situation.
The Life Sentence actress spoke recently on living in a social media addicted world and how she’s not giving into being someone she’s not.
“I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t pressure,” Lucy shared. “But I’ve always wanted to be myself. I don’t make my decisions based on what my Instagram followers are going to thinkthat would be a miserable life. You have to do things for yourself.”
She adds, “Being in the public eye, it’s a little different. I had to grow up and make my mistakes and certain decisions in the public eye. And luckily I’ve sort of kept it together!”
“I’m at a place now where I’ve figured out who I am and what I stand for, and that’s maybe why people do look up to me in a way. I don’t shy away from anything. I try to talk about how I really feel.”
“People don’t want to hear bullshit. Real people aren’t perfect; they fall down and mess up and screw up,” Lucy says. “Those [like Demi Lovato] are the kind of people that I look to, and I’ve always aspired to just be authentic.”
