OlderKaty Perry Shatters Records With This Major Twitter Milestone
Katy Perry released her first album, Witness, just last week (listen here) — but now she is breaking an entirely different sort of record.
Twitter announced today (June 16) that Katy is officially the first person to reach 100 million followers on the platform — ever!
She has been on Twitter for eight years now, with over 8,500 tweets. Her most-tweeted about day was on the 2015 Superbowl (LEFT SHARK), and five of her six most retweeted tweets are about other musicians, Twitter reports.
