Sofia Richie‘s famous father, Lionel, may be headed to American Idol!

The 18-year-old model’s dad is a five-time Grammy winner and a frontrunner to sit on the judges’ panel for the ABC reboot, according to TMZ.

He would join Katy Perry, who has confirmed her role on the show.

Meanwhile, Ryan Seacrest is close to signing a deal to return as host too.
