Katherine Langford Says '13 Reasons Why' Is The Best First Job

Katherine Langford is opening off more about having 13 Reasons Why as her first job ever.

“I think it was the best first show I could have ever done,” she shared in an interview with Deadline. “In a lot of ways, the hardest�purely because of the journey that Hannah goes through, and the magnitude of the show itself.”

Good thing she had a handful of great directors to work with too, like Tom McCarthy.

“[He] was really helpful�he’s so intelligent, and has excellent ideas and a wonderful vision for the work that we did.”

Katherine added, “A lot of the advice that he gave me after Episodes 1 and 2, I found myself carrying throughout the entire season. ‘Keep it light, because there’s a long way to go’ was one thing he said, and that really did stick with me throughout the course of the season, in telling Hannah’s story.”

“I feel like I learned a lot, not just as an actor, but also from a director point of view. It was fascinating to watch.”
