'Riverdale' Father & Son Duo KJ Apa & Luke Perry Are Really Close Off-Screen

KJ Apa is really close with his TV dad, Luke Perry.

The Riverdale star explained in a new interview that he bonded with Luke while seeking advice about how to handle his sudden stardom, and how to handle haters.

“He said, ‘Y’know, this kind of thing happens all the time, it’s nothing to do with you.’ But I went to him and I spoke to him and he helped me,” KJ shared, citing when his film A Dog’s Purpose came under fire.

He added about Luke, “He’s the biggest legend, and obviously he went through the whole thing on a way bigger scale than even Riverdale, you know Beverly Hills 90210 was massive, so I think he is the best guy to talk to, and I’m really close with him.”
