China Anne McClain Describes Thomas Doherty's 'Method' Acting For "Descendants 2' (Exclusive)

China Anne McClain was nervous coming into Descendants 2, but she’s gotten really close with all of her cast members — she even has matching tattoos with Thomas Doherty and Dylan Playfair!

In our exclusive interview, China told us about Thomas‘ character, Harry — and how he kept in character.

“Harry is Uma’s best pal and they’ve grown up together,” she told JJJ. “He is her first mate, her right hand man for anything that she wants. They’re ride-or-die for each other, they love each other. Poor Gil is very thick-headed and strong. But Uma has a soft spot for him which is why she keeps him around.”

She also revealed that Thomas is a method actor.

“Thomas is very method so he would walk around set looking like a mad man,” she laughed, “like hair was all over the place, laughing and stuff. I enjoyed watching that.”
