OlderLele Pons Clears Up Misunderstanding About Donating Her Hair
Just a few days ago, Lele Pons surprised everyone when she chopped off her gorgeous long hair — and now, she’s back explaining everything about her cut — right down to accusations that she was using hair extensions in a reveal picture.
Here’s what actually went on — Lele fully intended to donate her locks after the big chop, however, after it happened she learned that she actually couldn’t donate her hair at all.
Not because of the extensions that were featured in the reveal pic (which has since been deleted from her Instagram), but because it was bleached!
The extensions in that reveal pic (that had everyone talking!) were only a prop to show everyone how much she cut off.
“To help clear any assumptions, I cut my hair with the intention of donating it,” Lele addressed everything in a series of tweets later on.
“Sadly after trying, I learned charities who donate wigs don’t accept color treated hair. So I’m finding other ways to help those affected by hair loss b/c of cancer. This is still a priority for me.”
We’re proud of Lele for addressing the situation and can’t wait to see how she plans to give back.
