Sophie Turner Shows Off New Red Hair While Returning to LA

Sophie Turner has made a return to red!

The 21-year-old actress showed that she ditched her blonde locks while making her way through LAX airport on Tuesday (July 11) in Los Angeles.

Sophie has been sporting her natural blonde hair color for quite some time but red isn’t a new look for her!

She originally began dying her locks red for her role on Game of Thrones, which she recently admitted she didn’t want to do at first.

“I was a little skeptical about it. Being a thirteen year old girl and going red, of course you kind of get mercilessly teased about it,” she explained to W Mag.

Sophie added, “But I spoke to the producers before I got the role and they explained to me that it is so integral to the part and her ancestry and it’s a subliminal message to the audience about her mother and Robb and then Ayra’s closeness to Jon and her father. Once they explained, I realized it was kind of amazing that for my first role, I got to transform myself. That was pretty cool.”
