Did Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall Just Respond to the 'Aladdin' Movie Casting?

Disney announced the cast for the live-action Aladdin, and while audiences are applauding the casting decision for Aladdin, many people are upset over the choice for Jasmine.

The reason for the mixed responses is due to the fact that the role of Jasmine is going to Naomi Scott, who is of British and Indian descent, instead of a Middle Eastern actress.

Many fans were rallying for Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall to be cast as Jasmine, who is of Yemeni and Egyptian descent.

Fans have been taking to Twitter to speak out against what they see as an injustice — and many think that an Instagram Jade posted on Sunday is a response to the news.

In the photo, Jade is gazing at the camera with a flat expression, wielding a gun shooting out an “OVER IT” sign. Fans are going hard on the comment section, telling her that she should have snagged the role.

Of course, Jade‘s fiery Instagram could just as easily be innocuous, or a response to something else.
