Paris Jackson Compares Humans to Spiders in a Twitter Thread About Racism

Paris Jackson is not new to using offbeat metaphors to make a point — just this month she tweeted that everyone should love their blemishes because pizzas have spots and everyone loves pizza.

Now, she is using another metaphor, this time to make a point about racism.

“of course there are different orders of arachnids, and there are almost 50,000 different kinds of spiders, but could you imagine a brown recluse being racist against a black widow because of their color?” she asks her followers, “or a group of daddy long legs? like.. they’re all the same species… so why the F–K are humans so caught up in race when we’re all the same species. LEARN FROM SPIDERS PEOPLE.”

This thread comes after the 19-year-old faced backlash after her comments about cultural appreciation upset some who worried she was diminishing the harm of cultural appropriation that occurs every day.

FYI: Paris is pictured around New York City this week with friends. She is wearing Sunday Somewhere sunglasses.
