'Anne of Green Gables' Star Ella Ballentine Definitely Relates To Anne

Ella Ballentine is all smiles up on stage during the PBS portion of the 2017 Summer Television Critics Association Press Tour on Monday (July 31) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The Canadian actress stars in PBS’s Anne of Green Gables movies as the title character alongside Martin Sheen and Sara Botsford.

During the panel, PBS announced that two new movies would be coming to US viewers this year.

“I see a lot of myself in Anne,” Ella shared in a recent interview about connecting with her character. “She loves to talk, she just keeps going.”

She adds, “Since we’ve done the film, I’ve been trying to be more positive about everything. She’s independent and doesn’t let anyone tell her what to do. I think a lot of us would be happier if we tried to be more like Anne.”
