Brooklyn Beckham Opens Up About Choosing Photography Over Sports
Brooklyn Beckham may be the son of David Beckham, the most famous soccer player in the world — but he made the right choice for himself and decided to pursue his own passions.
In a new interview, the 18-year-old photographer opens up about opting out of sports after 15 years of playing.
“I had a lot of pressure on me,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “Every time I made a mistake everyone was looking at me like, ‘Oh my God, like, he made a mistake.’”
Brooklyn discovered photography when going through a list of school courses with his mother.
“My mom was like, ‘Do it. If you don’t like it, you can [switch]. So I did it and then my dad bought me my first camera when I was 15 a Pentax K1000.”
The rest was history — or, rather, right now.
“I’m actually moving to New York in August to study photography for four years,” he said. “I’m really excited. Photography is [it], that’s what I really want to do.”
Since he just released a published photography book in June, it’s safe to say he’s doing pretty well already.
