Lilimar Learned English In Only 6 Months

You wouldn’t know it from talking to her at all, but English isn’t Lilimar‘s first language.

Being born in Venezuela, she grew up speaking Spanish before moving to the US with her family — and even more impressive is that she learned the entire language in six months!

However, that didn’t impress some bullies who were determined to bring her down.

In a new interview with YSBnow, Lilimar explained the things that her bullies did.

“I didn’t know English when I got here, so they would jump on me [about that]. They made fun of everything that’s different,” she says.

Lilimar adds, “They would insult me and call me stupid for not being able to get it right away. I think I did pretty good. I learned it in six months.”

Well, we’re impressed. We couldn’t learn another language — fluently — that quickly. Go Lilimar!
