Sophie Turner Says Social Media Has Played a Huge Role in Her Success

If you want to make it big in Hollywood, Sophie Turner says social media is key!

The Game of Thrones star opened up during her cover shoot for Porter‘s Fall 2017 issue.

Here’s she had to share with the mag:

On social media: “A lot of what I have achieved is about timing and luck, but it is also, and I hate to say it, about a big social media following. I auditioned for a project and it was between me and another girl who is a far better actress than I am, far better, but I had the followers, so I got the job. It’s not right, but it is part of the movie industry now.”

On being told to lose weight: “There are often times when I have done jobs and they’ve told me that I have to lose weight, even when it has nothing to do with the character. It is so f–ked up.”

On eventually saying goodbye to Game of Thrones: “It’s like losing my safety net. I’m so sad to leave Sansa, but I’m also excited for a new chapter in my career. It feels like I’m shedding a skin and there is a certain weightlessness to that.”
