'Bug Juice' Revival is Coming to Disney Channel!

Who remembers Bug Juice?!

If you need a refresher, Bug Juice was Disney Channel’s first-ever original unscripted show (named after the juice drinks served at summer camps).

It ran for three seasons from 1998 to 2001, and the catchy theme song is still stuck in our heads. (“Bug Juice, it doesn’t come in a jar; Bug Juice comes from who you are…”)

Now, 20 years after the docu-series was first filmed at Camp Waziyatah in Waterford, Maine, it’s coming back to our screens!

The new version will follow a group of kids, ages 10 to 12 years old, at summer camp.

Bug Juice took viewers on a journey of adventure and self-discovery,” Susette Hsiung, executive vice president of production at Disney Channels Worldwide, said in a statement. “We are thrilled to be back in Maine at Camp Waziyatah with the creative team from Evolution Media and many of the same crew members who produced the original series.”

Production is currently underway, and the series is scheduled to return in early 2018.

We can’t wait!
