Freddie Highmore Attends TCA Panel for 'The Good Doctor'

Freddie Highmore is all smiles while attending the Television Critics’ Association Press Tour at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday (August 6) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 25-year-old actor was in attendance to discuss his new show The Good Doctor, and was joined by co-stars Antonia Thomas, Hill Harper, Richard Schiff, and Nicholas Gonzalez, as well as executive producers David Shore and Daniel Dae Kim.

“It’s nice to save people after years of killing them,” Freddie joked about the difference of roles on The Good Doctor and Bates Motel, via Deadline. “The character of course was a fascinating one, and it all starts on the page, what we are trying to do is moving away from perhaps the stereotypical versions of people with autism that have been shown on television and in certain movies in the past, the number one thing being that they are somehow devoid of emotion, that they don’t experience as broad a range of emotions as neurotypical people do, and of course that’s complete nonsense.”
