Shay Mitchell Dishes on Her Next Role in 'Cadaver': 'Megan Is Driven Just Like Emily Fields'

Get ready to see Shay Mitchell in a totally different role in her new film, Cadaver.

The former Pretty Little Liars actress will star as Megan Reed in the horror flick, and opened up about the character, revealing that she has some things in common with Emily Fields.

“[Megan's] extremely athletic, extremely driven, competitive and she is older than Emily as a recovering addict and ex-cop,” Shay shared with CBS News. “It was super fun to be in a completely different environment than what I’ve been used to.”

Shay went into filming this movie almost immediately after wrapping PLL last year.

“I went right into this film after we had our wrap party,” she says. “I was in a plane the next day heading to Boston.”

She adds about Megan more, “[She] has some characteristics that Emily had…It was super fun to be in a completely different environment than what I’ve been used to. It was something that I’m super excited for the fans to see as well – get to see me play a different character.”

Cadaver is expected to hit theaters in August 2018.
