Disney is Pulling All of its Movies From Netflix & Starting its Own Streaming Service

Bad news, Netflix users — Disney announced Tuesday (August 8) that the company is planning to pull all of its content from the streaming platform.

Both Disney and Pixar titles will be removed, CEO Bob Iger told CNBC, but will be available through the end of 2018 (and will not include Marvel TV shows.)

Disney will be going ahead with its own plans to launch a streaming service in 2019 with a global reach.

We can’t say we’re surprised. After all, with Netflix, Hulu, and more, streaming services is one way for large companies to survive. On the other hand, the thought of Netflix without Disney…
