Sofia Carson Surprised Her Mom In The Best Way After She Got Her First Role

We are 100% positive that Sofia Carson had the best reaction to nailing her first role.

In a brand new interview, the Descendants 2 actress revealed that once she knew she got her role in Austin & Ally, she surprised her mom and sister, Paulina, in the coolest way.

“It was my first role…I had been auditioning for – I had been to almost 200 auditions before I got my first job,” Sofia shares. “And I had just finished my final exams at UCLA.”

“My mom and my sister were on an airplane flying to L.A. where I live, and I went to the airport to pick them up,” she adds, “[I] Got a sign that said, ‘I got the part.’ And then when they came out . . . I was like jumping on one leg. I got the part!”

However, her mom and Paulina‘s reaction to the news was even better — “They were just speechless for the whole 24 hours, because they couldn’t believe it.”
