Zendaya Recalls Insane Paparazzi Chase With Tom Holland in 'Variety's Power of Youth Issue

Zendaya is just one of the five celebs who will be honored at Variety‘s Power of Youth event this year.

The Spider-Man: Homecoming actress even grabbed a cover of the special issue, alongside Chloe Moretz and John Boyega.

In the issue, Zendaya opens up about first meeting, not dating and escaping a paparazzi chase with her co-star Tom Holland.

“We tried to do this whole maneuver,” she recalls of the chase, which she documented on Snapchat.

“This guy was being super dangerous, driving through a busy intersection, doing a U-turn, driving on the side of the freeway to catch up to us – the side where you’re not supposed to drive because there’s no lane. I was like, ‘This is nuts.’”

Zendaya also confirms that she’s not dating Tom, after rumors circulated earlier this summer about the two.

“We are friends…He’s a great dude. He’s literally one of my best friends,” she says. “This past how many months we’ve had to do press tours together. There’s very few people that will understand what that’s like at 20 years old.”
