Dove Cameron Sounds Off on Racism in a Passionate Twitter Thread

Dove Cameron is no stranger to airing out her frustrations with the world on Twitter. Just last month, she called out the absurdity of “Heterosexual Pride Day” on the app.

Now, she is taking to the platform again to sound off on the racism in our society.

“the! color! of! someone’s! skin! has! literally! nothing! to! do! with! what’s! inside!” the 21-year-old Descendants 2 star wrote, “why is this/was this ever a thing. stop being dumb.”

She then continued with a thread about racism, writing: “racism is honestly so embarrassing. you are literally admitting that you don’t understand how pigment/science/evolution work. like thinking that someone’s pigment changes their brain? AND you’re admitting that BECAUSE you don’t understand, you’re fearful. so embarrassing.”

Then, when a follower applauded her for being both white and “defending poc rights,” Dove shot back.

“human rights**,” she corrected, “it’s so obvious. it’s not hard. why are we still discussing this.”
