The Dolan Twins Get Candid About Jake Paul Saying He 'Discovered' Them

Ethan and Grayson Dolan are finally responding to Jake Paul‘s claims in his book that he “made” the twins’ careers.

“Jake never tried to sign us,” Grayson clarified in an interview with Caspar Lee. “There’s something in his book that says something how he, like we were his ‘test experiments’ and he flew us out to L.A. – which he didn’t.”

“He did let us stay with him and we made content with him and all that stuff,” he added. “We had fun. Jake was a great friend of ours and I still believe the kid is a good person, deep down. There are some things that I’ve seen that I don’t agree with. He’s said some things privately to people that I know about us that I just don’t know why he said it.”

That said the twins are adamant that Jake did not “make” them, nor did he try to.

“We were never even presented with a contract. When we first came out, we were literally just making content as friends. Because none of us had friends. Vine was a new platform, we were the youngest dudes. We were only 15 or 14 and Jake was 17.”

“Our videos weren’t doing that far off from each other to begin with,” they continued. “It wasn’t like we were just random kids that Jake found that he was like, ‘You guys, come on. I have an idea.’ We were all creators. The vibe wasn’t ‘I’m going to blow you up.’
