Sofia Carson Talks the Complexity of Sandgirl in 'Marvel's Spider-Man'

Sofia Carson just released her new single “Ins & Outs,” but she is nothing if not a multitasker.

The 24-year-old Descendants 2 actress also guest-stars as Keemia in the animated series Marvel’s Spider-Man, who is the daughter of the villainous Sandman.

“When her father became Sandman, she became Sandgirl,” Sofia says in the video, “so she blames her father for her life of crime, which she swore that she wouldn’t live because she wanted to be better than her father.”

“It’s really about a girl who just wants to be loved by her father and wants to have a normal father-daughter relationship,” she continues.
