Jordan Fisher Isn't Someone Who Has Backstage Rituals (Exclusive)

Jordan Fisher isn’t someone who gets nervous for anything — even premieres of dance competition reality programs.

Speaking with JJJ recently, the entertainer shared that his “nerves” are really just excitement for everything that’s going to happen on Dancing With The Stars.

“I don’t really get nervous for things. I don’t wrestle with nerves at all, I just get really excited,” Jordan says. “I get stoked to get out there and do my thing. And at this point, I’m ready. I’m ready to get out there and start. I can’t stand it.”

We can’t stand it either! We can’t wait to watch Jordan and partner Lindsay Arnold kill it tonight.

That also had us wondering if Jordan had any backstage rituals too, just because they’ll be watching everyone else perform and be waiting for their own turn. But it turns out, he doesn’t.

“That’s not my cup of tea,” he says. “I don’t know why, but it’s never been a thing for me. I feel like the people who do have those tend to overthink about the things they’re going to go and do.”

Jordan adds, “Everyone’s wired a little bit different, but me personally, if I stood backstage and needed 20 minutes to get in the zone and take deep breaths, and do all those things…I feel like there’s an element of unpreparedness that I would have for whatever it is….I’m all about preparation.”

“If I’m prepared, I just want to have fun. That’s what I’m there to do. Every week, the plan is to be prepared and have fun and enjoy each other’s company and watch everyone else and root for each other and hopefully, America keeps us on.”

Dancing With The Stars premieres TONIGHT @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
