Dove Cameron Urges Her Followers to Fight For Stricter Gun Control

Dove Cameron is joining high-profile celebrities like Ariana Grande in calling for gun control in response to the Las Vegas shooting that left 58 dead and hundreds more injured.

“not only was what happened in las vegas the deadliest mass shooting in modern u.s. history, it was the 273rd mass shooting in the united states in 2017 alone,” the former Liv & Maddie actress wrote on Instagram.

“we (here on instagram) may think that because we are not the ones holding the gun, we are not the problem. but when we sit idly by, in a country that is BEGGING for stricter gun laws, and do nothing–we become the problem.”

Dove then directs her followers to a link in her bio with ways to “personally contribute to gun reform,” from donating to charities to calling members of congress.

We applaud her for using her platform for good and for fighting to make our world safer in the future.
