Maddie Ziegler Doesn't Like Being Called A Celebrity For A Really Important Reason

Maddie Ziegler might just be the most humble person ever.

Speaking with Bustle recently, the dancer and actress opened up about the term “celebrity” and why she doesn’t love being called that at all.

“I don’t consider myself, like, ‘Oh, I’m a star, a celebrity, or famous’,” she says. “I am just a girl from Pittsburgh.”

But why? Maddie, who shot to fame on Dance Moms before starting to work with Sia and become a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance, certainly has earned that “celebrity” title.

Turns out, it’s really simple.

“I don’t think it’s fair for kids to say, ‘Oh, I’m famous, I’m a celebrity,’ I find that really rude and it seems like they have a big head,” she says.

Maddie adds, “I never want be a brat or be stuck up or snobby.”

We get you, Maddie.
