Riverdale's Ashleigh Murray & Madelaine Petsch Dish On Cheryl & Josie's Friendship

One of the things that JJJ is looking forward to the most on Riverdale‘s season two is Cheryl and Josie’s friendship.

Stars Ashleigh Murray and Madelaine Petsch opened up to Teen Vogue about the emerging, and unlikely friendship between the two.

You’re going see some interesting things,” Ashleigh shared. “I can’t really tell too much, but you’ll definitely be able to see how they get along, the different jokes they have with each other, and just the beauty behind the friendship that we didn’t get to see in season one.”

Madelaine adds, “We’re finishing up an episode where you finally get to see the friendship between us. I feel like we talk about it a lot, you don’t see it a lot on screen. You see a lot more of Cheryl and Josie interacting.”

“Josie actually becomes part of the River Vixens, so they interact a lot in that way. But so far, there hasn’t been a bunch of cheerleading. It’s been more about the big mystery of season one…”

“[She is] kind of the only person that Cheryl really has on her side – even though I’m sure the gang would love to be friends with her, if she was just nice to them.”

Riverdale returns on Wednesday, October 11th on The CW.
