The Thinker, aka Clifford DeVoe, is the new villain for this season. He’ll be played by Neil Sandilands.
In the comics, Clifford Devoe was Keystone City’s district attorney, and after losing a high-profile case against mob boss Hunk Norvock, he decided he was on the wrong side. He teamed up with Norvock and spent years doing nothing but researching and planning crimes.
Get ready to meet Breacher, played by Danny Trejo — a bounty hunter from Earth-19 who also just happens to be the father of Cisco’s love interest Gypsy (Jessica Camacho).
Kim Engelbrecht joins the season as genius engineer The Mechanic; Sugar Lyn Beard as Rebecca Sharpe / Hazard, a villain with the ability to alter probability.
Hartley Sawyer will also pop up as The Elongated Man.
Meanwhile, Katee Sackhoff will star as Amunet Black aka Blacksmith, and will recur from episode five of the new season — the same ep where Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) returns!
This season, Iris will be putting her reporter dreams to the side while she leads Team Flash. Since Barry has been gone in the Speed Force, she’s taken a leadership role — something that he won’t mind so much when he returns.
Iris will also be becoming greater friends with Caitlin Snow, even though she’s left the team for the moment.
Don’t worry, she will be returning, although details about that are being kept under wraps.
And speaking of Iris and Barry’s relationship aka WestAllen, the duo have just been reunited after six months, so they are going to have some issues…issues that will send them to couples therapy.
However, things do work out as they are getting married in the upcoming four-show crossover.
One of the saddest bits of news for season 4 is saying goodbye for now to Tom, who played Julian Albert. Find out what that means for his relationship with Caitlin.
Grant Gustin opened up throughout the summer about what Barry was going through during his time in the Speed Force and what will happen when he returns to Central City.
“He’s able to just let go a lot of the things he feels guilty about, a lot of the hardship he’s had to deal with,” Grant shared about fans forgiving Barry about the end of season 3.
