'Riverdale' Season 2 Premieres Tonight - Here's Everything We Know

Riverdale is back tonight and diving straight into what the cast and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacassa have been hinting at all summer long — a darker show.

The hunt for the hooded gunman that shot Fred Andrews “leads into darker chapters of Riverdale’s history, and puts all of our characters on the defensive”.

Cole Sprouse also shared that the premiere tonight is “leaning into a lot of those qualities that a lot of people ended up loving in the first couple of episodes – this heavy cinematography, this overbearing coloration, this really dark content that’s kind of over-the-top and campy, but it’s taken very seriously.”

Riverdale returns @ 8PM ET/PT on The CW.
