Zendaya Thanks Women in Hollywood Coming Forward With Assault Allegations

A number of young celebrities have spoken out against the culture of sexual harassment in Hollywood in light of the building Harvey Weinstein allegations, and now Zendaya is joining them.

“As a young woman in this industry, I am deeply grateful to all the courageous women coming forward and speaking their truth,” the 21-year-old actress tweeted, “and I truly thank you for making the first huge steps towards assuring that this industry be safer for young actresses like myself.”

Zendaya is thanking the brave women going public with sexual harassment and assault allegations, which is no easy thing to do, professionally or personally.

On Tuesday (October 10), alleged leaked audio was released of a man who is supposedly Harvey speaking to Italian model Ambra Battilana Gutierrez and insisting that she sits down while he showers.
