What Was Fred Andrews' Fate on 'Riverdale's Season 2 Premiere?

We are so happy to report that Fred Andrews is indeed ALIVE after the premiere of Riverdale‘s second season premiere.

While there were a lot of moments in the premiere where Fred (Luke Perry) was touch-and-go, especially when he was dreaming of all the big moments in his son Archie’s (KJ Apa) life he would miss — Fred pulled through and it was then the entire world let out a big sigh of relief.

“I didn’t want him [showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa] to tell me [if Fred would make it],” Luke told EW after the premiere. “I wanted him to leave the door open for what he creatively thought was best and if that means one thing then that’s what it means and if it means something else then that’s what it means.”

So what’s going to happen next?

“I think Fred is traumatized. I really do,” Luke says. “I think he’s sort of going through the motions and he hasn’t connected back into what his life is.”

“I can only imagine if something like that were to happen to you, you hit the pause button in your life and it makes you think about a lot of different things. He definitely comes out of it a different guy.”
