Halsey Talks the Importance of Creating a 'Safe Space' at Her Concerts

Halsey wants her fans to have fun at her concerts, but there’s something else that is just as important to her.

“[When] I walk into my dressing room, my first thought is: ‘I’m so happy that that show was so amazing and so safe. And that everyone’s gonna go home and go to bed safely and that they had a good time tonight,’” she explained on The Elvis Duran Morning Show on Monday (October 16).

“That’s a win for me, that’s a success, is knowing that I created a safe space for people.”

The 23-year-old singer and songwriter is known for her support of the LGTBQ+ community, even recording a same-sex love song with Lauren Jauregui, so it’s no surprise that a safe space is something she values as an artist.
