Jacob Sartorius Says He Owes A Lot To YouTube Helping Him Launch His Career

Jacob Sartorius is all smiles backstage at the Musik & Frieden Club in Kreuzberg outside of Berlin, Germany on Thursday (October 19).

The “Chapstick” singer showed off many different moods backstage ahead of his performance.

In a new interview, Jacob opened up about getting his start on YouTube and just where he goes from there.

“I owe so much to YouTube,” he shared. “It helped me get started and now I’m in a really good place.”

With a huge internet-based fans, Jacob adds that he wants to work with a record label like a partnership.

“I like doing things independently…I”m not interested in just signing with a label,” he adds. “I want to set it up as a partnership.”
