Camila Cabello Wanted to Show Fans More Sides of Her in the 'Havana' Video

Camila Cabello dropped her theatrical “Havana” music video today, and in a new Youtube live she gets candid about why she chose to portray different sides of herself.

“Karla…That was my life before X Factor,” she explained of the homebody TV-watching character. “I was always staying at home, super introverted. I was always living in my own little world.”

“That’s still my essence,” Camila continued. “Anybody who really knows me knows that I’m like that. I’m a homebody and all I really wanna do is watch movies.”

While both Karla and Camila in the video are “super exaggerated” parts of her personality, “Karla is definitely more me,” she clarified. “I’m Karla in my essence but I push myself to be Camila.”
