DWTS' Mark Ballas Is 'Nervous' About Lindsey Stirling's Rib Injury
This week, we all were waiting to see if Lindsey Stirling would be well enough to perform on Dancing With The Stars with her rib injury — including pro partner Mark Ballas
Speaking with People after the show, where Lindsey powered through not just one dance, but two, Mark shared that “she’s doing better.”
“She wanted to be here tonight [to talk to press], but I told her she needed to go rest and put ice on her ribs. I was with her yesterday when it happened,” Mark continues.
“We took the X-ray – I was really nervous at that point because if there had been a break or a fracture, that would have been a huge problem. There’s no break or fracture. They call it a floating rib.”
Mark also revealed that Lindsey isn’t going to recover overnight from this: “It’s going to take a minute. We’re going to ice it, but luckily she’s in a state where she can continue [in the competition].”
“It is what it is, and her health comes first,” he said, pointing out that that is the most important thing to him.
Mark adds, “I’m nervous – not just about this, but more importantly about her being okay. Thank god we’re in a position where it looks like she can continue.”
Thank you for everyone who prayed for me. I felt those prayers pull me through this painful performance.
