Ross Lynch Has Compassion For Jeffery Dahmer After Playing Him in 'My Friend Dahmer'

Ross Lynch portrays a serial killer in the making in his new movie, My Friend Dahmer.

Speaking with Newsweek, the 21-year-old actor reveals just how he feels about Jeffrey Dahmer now, after playing him in the movie: he’s compassionate.

“He was just a really lonely dude, and everyone in his life abandoned him. Can you imagine being his father? I just can’t,” Ross says.

He adds that while watching the interviews to prepare for his role, he was particularly interesting in Dahmer’s father.

“You can see on tape that he’s still his son and they still embrace,” he says. “He pats his leg at one point, like, It’s OK, you’re doing the right thing now by telling the authorities.”

My Friend Dahmer is out in theaters now.
