'Stranger Things' Creator Reveals How Eleven Was Supposed To Die in Season 1
Stranger Things fans were shook this week when it was revealed that Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, was actually supposed to die in the first season.
During a Q&A event at Chapman University, Ross Duffer explained that he had a plan for Eleven’s demise on the show.
“Maybe I shouldn’t say this because I like to pretend that it was all planned out, but it was originally pitched as a limited series,” he explains.
Ross adds, “So it was like, Eleven was gonna sacrifice herself and save the world and then that was gonna be it, because there was a moment where limited series were a big deal.”
The show would’ve been so much different — thankfully, Netflix wanted more and kept Eleven around.
